Professional Development

Arts in Education offers schools a cost-effective way to bring arts experiences to students through in-school programs and cultural venues. It includes professional development for teachers to help schools integrate the arts into students’ daily lives and education.

Community Schools resources support the whole child by addressing students’ social, emotional, physical and intellectual needs. Through partnerships with districts and vetted community organizations, schools can access services like mental health support, professional development, wellness resources, and in-school medical care. 

The CSLO and Model Schools programs enhance teaching and learning by providing professional development, instructional resources, and technology integration. These initiatives empower educators with innovative strategies and tools, leading to improved student engagement and achievement. 

Creating Healthy Schools and Communities works to reduce the risk of obesity and chronic disease by increasing access to healthy food and physical activity. We create meaningful, sustainable change through the implementation of policy, systems, and environmental improvements.

Through professional development, coaching, research, and facilitation, our team supports teachers and administrators across the region. The team provides in-district work in a multitude of content areas as well as offers off-site professional development workshops, consortia, events and conferences. 

The Regional Bilingual Education-Resource Network (RBERN) West is part of a statewide system of support funded by the NYSED, Office of Bilingual Education and World Languages (OBEWL). Our mission is to collaborate with educators, parents, and community members to promote academic excellence and ensure high school graduation for all multilingual learners.

The West Regional Partnership Center (RPC) is part of the NYSED Office of Special Education (OSE)'s educational partnership network. We provide technical assistance and professional development to a variety of stakeholders. We work toward sustainability and share promising/effective practices within the region and across the state.
